Porsha Williams, Kenya Moore, & Drew Sidora Return Full-Time For 'RHOA' Season 16 + Cynthia Bailey Will Appear As A Friend
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16 cast has officially been announced!

Following months of speculation, it's been confirmed that veterans Porsha Williams, Kenya Moore, and Drew Sidora will return to the series along with a few new faces.

In a tweet uploaded to the official Bravo page, it was revealed that with the three staple cast members, longtime friend of the show Shamea Morton Mwangi will also be joining full-time, as well as newcomers Angela Oakley, Brittany Eady, and Kelli Ferrell. It was also noted that Cynthia Bailey, a previous full-time cast member, will appear in a friend role.

As we recently reported, sources shared that Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore began filming for the Bravo reality show recently, though the identities of the remaining cast members remained a mystery up until today (May 14). Fans have been eager to learn who will make up the rest of the cast seeing as though other staple members such as Kandi Burruss, Marlo Hampton, and Sanya Richards-Ross had already confirmed they would not be participating in the new season.



Word on whether or not season 1 vet Sheree Whitfield would be returning has been up in the air, though it is now confirmed that she too will not be a part of season 16. As far as the newcomers go, the new editions have extensive backgrounds in media and entertainment. Brittany Eady is an established author, businesswoman, and podcast host, while Kelli Ferrell is a known restauranter and Food Network alum and Angela Oakley is the wife of NBA great Charles Oakley.

A time meant for celebration has turned a little sour for Cardi B.

The New York native was recently honored by Spotify for the undeniable success of her hit records. To date, Cardi B has had four songs receive over a billion streams on the music streaming platform. This includes her 2020 song "WAP," which features fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion, her 2018 tracks "Girls Like You" (with Maroon 5) and "I Like It" (with Bad Bunny and J Balvin), and her 2019 song "Taki Taki" (with Selena Gomez, Ozuna, & DJ Snake).



Praising Cardi B for her achievements, Spotify sent the Grammy Award winner a silver plaque for each one of her songs to enter their elite Billions Club. Sharing the news of her latest trophies online, the 31-year-old wrote,

"Wooow FOUR songs that hit the billion mark on Spotify!! Women lie, men lie.. numbers don't. I'm so excited to put out new music and reach even more milestones. Thank you everyone for listening, it really means alot.. can't wait for you to see and hear what's next"

 



Unfortunately, Cardi B's exciting moment was somewhat overshadowed by chats about when her highly anticipated sophomore album will drop. An X user (formerly known as Twitter) added to the discussion surrounding the "Please Me" artist's rollout and wrote,

"No but just announce the album... let's not talk about rollouts either cause she was jumping up and down in march about how the album is closer than we think this that n the third... nothing in april and nothing mid way thru may. But i thought yall had everything planned to the tea"

Defending Cardi B, well-known media personality/blogger KenBarbie said, in part,

"It is. And she's actually overly communicated with y'all already. She didn't have to tell you those features got pushed back.. she didn't have to tell you that one is dropping next week.. but she tries to communicate"

Entering the chat herself, Cardi addressed feedback from someone who urged her to "pull back" from social media and said,

"Exactly and I tell myself this all the time ..and I hate that I fall back and start interacting again and it bites me in the *ss ...anyway NO album this year I don't care I'm relaxing this year ..Dropping these features I already committed to and traveling and enjoying my summer."

 

 

Doubling down, she added in response to a critic,

"YEUP ITS NOT DONE CAUSE THERE IS NO ALBUM ....Congrats you won a prize for your answer ...here's your prize [middle finger emoji]"

 

After a fan suggested her mood swings might be because she's pregnant again, Cardi shut that rumor down and slammed her fanbase in the process. She wrote,

"Ain't no hormones at all a b*tch ain't pregnant y'all just ruined everything for me .Even when I drop music yall ruin everything..WORST FANBASE EVER ..I remember crying to Ken cause i felt like I did something wrong when I dropped enough cause y'all was complaining that it wasn't on today top hits makin me feel like I alway drop the ball just so the song can go top ten without it y'all just love to complain"

 

 

At the time of this report, Cardi hasn't said anything else on the matter. However, KenBarbie did add,

"Cardi is definitely releasing an album this year... ignore that."

Popular streamer Kai Cenat sparked social media buzz when fans observed him declining an invitation to Michael Rubin's annual all-white party.

The 22-year-old social media star was recently broadcasting on Twitch when he received a surprise phone call from fellow streamer Adin Ross. During their chat, Adin Ross invited Kai Cenat to join him at Michael Rubin's annual all-white party on July 4th. The event is deemed by many as the place to be on Independence Day. However,  Kai Cenat quickly responded,

"No... I got invited to the other one."

When Adin Ross asked why he didn't attend last year's event, Kai elaborated,

"Because, I don't know, I didn't want to go."

Concluding the phone call, Kai exclaimed,

"Yo, be careful out there... safety! ... let me know how it goes!"

Kai then resumed talking to his fans and explained,

"I'm not going to lie, chat, I don't think anything happens at these f****** parties. I just don't want to be -"

After hesitating, he continued,

"You know how these n***** are bro."

Mocking what his would-be critics might say, he then said,

"'Kai sold his soul!'"

The streamer then wrapped up his sentiments by simply stating:

"I came too far!"

The clip of Kai and Adin's phone call circulated widely on social media, prompting numerous comments praising Kai for declining the invitation, especially given the speculative nature surrounding Hollywood parties.

One Instagram user commented,

"Kai Cenat has Caribbean or African parents I think. That child has all his good sense lol. He ain't going"

Another user said,

"They could never make me h8 Kai Cenat!! Glad he knows that every door opened to you is not meant to be walked thru."

DJ Akademiks Sued For Rape & Defamation By Woman He Accused Of Having A Threesome w/ His Friends
Internet personality DJ Akademiks was recently hit with an assault and defamation lawsuit.

Reports state that one of the YouTuber's former romantic partners filed a legal complaint against him, alleging he and others at his home sexually abused her.

As previously reported, a woman by the name of Fauziya "Ziya" Abashe came forward last year accusing DJ Akademiks and his associates of drugging and raping her. In response, the podcaster, real name Livingston Allen, denied the allegations and reversely accused his ex of being promiscuous and sleeping with two of his friends while he was passed out drunk. Ziya Abashe vowed at the time that her full story would come to light, which recently did in the form of a lawsuit.

In the legal documents, Ziya Abashe claimed that she was invited by Akademiks to his home in July of 2022 and was shocked when she arrived and discovered two other men were present. She said the podcaster's associates, named John Doe 1 and John Doe 2 in the suit, drugged her drink and pressured her to consume more alcohol before raping her on Akademiks' pool deck.

Subsequently, Abashe said she was woken up around 4 a.m. by Akademiks who was "pulling her hair, prying open her legs, and brutally raping her." Her lawyers added in the suit that in the moment she was:

"begging [him to stop]...crying for most of this assault but losing her ability to move physically."

The following day, Abashe said she had to ask Akademiks what occurred as she lost consciousness and was shocked to see video footage of his associates having sex with her, claiming she looked "lifeless" in the video. Additionally, Abashe stated that she was even more taken aback after Akademiks described in detail their own sexual encounter. Afterward, Abashe claimed to have recorded a phone call where Akademiks admitted to having sex with her, despite him subsequently telling the general public otherwise during an interview following news that his home was raided because of the incident.

After the alleged assault, Abashe said that at the advisement of a lawyer, she went to the police, filed a report, and got a rape kit done, prompting authorities to raid Akademiks home in search of evidence. Reportedly, medical examiners photographed bruises on Abashe's arm, back, buttocks, and legs and allegedly found traces of Akademik's semen.

Additionally, the suit accused Akademiks of attempting to get rid of the evidence by discarding his bed sheets and subsequently going on a media campaign against Abashe in an attempt to discredit and defame her. She's suing for an undisclosed amount in damages for rape, sexual assault, and defamation.

Reacting to the news, many social media users expressed their excitement for the collaboration, however, others shared disappointment that the boots were not affordable to everyone. One user wrote:

James Wright Chanel Able To Serve Chrisean Rock w/ Legal Papers Over Alleged Assault After She Shares Her Location Online
Singer James Wright Chanel's legal complaint against Chrisean Rock will officially be moving forward.

Reports state that the internet personality was able to serve the Zeus star with papers after she shared her location online, forcing her to respond in court.

A report from RadarOnline states that James Wright Chanel's process server successfully delivered the documents on May 4, 2024. The server was able to locate Chrisean Rock, 24, after the reality star posted that she would be attending football practice at Cathedral High School in Los Angeles that day at 6:30 p.m. The official time of delivery, according to the server, was marked as 5 p.m.

If you recall, James Wright Chanel first sued Chrisean Rock back in February of this year over an alleged assault that took place at a Tamar Braxton concert in November 2023. The musician was on tour with the Braxton Family Values star and claimed Chrisean struck him in the face after she became irate over a comment he made. His legal team wrote in the suit:

"[Wright] believes and based thereon alleges that [Rock] was misinformed about her role that evening as she was only supposed to participate in the ending of the concert performance called the 'twerk portion.'...[Rock] became upset with [Wright] and stated that if he again said she was not where she was supposed to be she was going to hit him. [Wright] politely told Defendant, 'I promise you, you were not on the side of the stage'...[Rock] immediately, using using the hand she was wearing large, champion style rings, struck [him] several times in the face."

Wright Chanel also claimed in the suit that he had to get significant cosmetic work done on his teeth as a result of the incident. The amount of damages he's seeking does not appear to have been disclosed. However, when news of the complaint first began circulating, Chrisean reacted publicly suggesting she was unfazed, writing to her X account (formerly Twitter):

"Dis big back b*tch n*gga think he finna get a cent out of me b*tch you know you just wasted yo money on dat d*mn lawyer right."

The report noted that Chrisean has yet to respond to the suit in court.

Though she was pleasantly surprised by the honor, King said that she consulted with her family and best friend Oprah Winfrey before signing on to the photoshoot. She also says that she ate a cheeseburger the day before shooting.

"I didn't go crazy dieting and maintained my regular exercise routine including cardio and strength training." 

On the cover, King Wears an Evarae one-piece swimsuit and cover-up. 

"I wanted tasteful cleavage, and they delivered all of that."

For Oprah Daily Magazine, King took followers on a quick behind-the-scenes view of her shoot.

She confessed,

Questlove Labels Tupac's 'Hit 'Em Up' Diss Record As 'The Weakest Musical Smack'
Can the beat make or break a diss record?

During a recent interview with the One Song podcast, Ahmir K. Thompson, famously known as Questlove, chatted about iconic diss records throughout hip hop history and what makes them stand out. Speaking on Tupac Shakur's 1996 song "Hit 'Em Up," Questlove said,

"I would respect 2Pac's 'Hit 'Em Up' if his music tracking was better. ... 'Hit 'Em Up,' to me, is disqualified, not because of the misogyny - forget all that. It's like, 'Dude, you're rhyming over smooth jazz dinner music.' Luther Vandross could sing over this!" 



As you may recall, Tupac Shakur (aka 2Pac) dropped Hit 'Em Up in the '90s, firing shots at The Notorious B.I.G. (aka Christopher "Biggie Smalls" Wallace) and his associates. Elaborating on how the beat pulls from the threatening message of the tune, Questlove continued,

"People who are born in the later part of the decade that I was born in - alright, I was born in the '70s - their relationship with 2Pac is different to my relationship [with 2Pac]. So thus, when this came out, everybody was like, 'This is hard as shit! Yo, he killin' it!' And I was like, 'Dog, he's smooth jazzed up Dennis Edwards."

"All I could think about is playing in the backyard with my girls. Me and my cousin walked away alive, but soon I'll find out that I'll have to reset and cancel most of my life for the next few months to properly heal in peace and private. My head injuries made everything difficult, but after my successful neck/spinal procedures and clearance to get back to my active life, I realized that what I prayed for going into the new year wasn't what I needed, but what I selfishly wanted."

The child star and son of hip-hop vet Master P. went on to show gratitude to God for the "transformation" of his mind and spirit, adding:

"I asked to become my strongest, and God did just that. I see even better now. The signs are everywhere. Joshua 1:9, Ps: this was kept private until I was well, so from work, friends and fam, if I wasn't accessible; you now know I've been on a journey. Super Saiyan Mode! Rebuild! Regrowth! Rebirth! Blessings! The best is yet to come."

In subsequent posts added to his Instagram story, Romeo Miller shared one image of his neck taped up with band-aids while sitting in a hospital bed and another image of an IV that the celebrity dubbed "the good stuff," adding as a caption:

"After not being able to walk this past weekend. Back to get spinal/neck work. Thought I was done with procedures but was assured this healing process of getting a fully healthy neck and back after my accident will be a marathon. So fam and friends be patient with me. Didn't have time, but today was a success. And I'm good and resting now. Onward and upward!"

At this time, Miller hasn't shared any other details about the incident. We keep him in our thoughts and prayers as he continues his road to recovery!
