DOECHII TO BRING ELECTRIC STAGE PRESENCE TO THE GRAMMYS WITH DEBUT PERFORMANCE
Doechii will be making her debut at the 2025 Grammys with her first-ever performance.
Going down on February 2 in Los Angeles, this year's show will be dedicated to wildfire relief and pay tribute to first responders. Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Shakira, RAYE, Chappell Roan, Teddy Swims and Benson Boone are also set to perform.
Doechii is also up for several nods this year including Best Rap Album for Alligator Bites Never Heal, Best Rap Performance for "Nissan Altima" and Best New Artist.
Beyonc - already the most decorated artist in Grammys history with 32 wins - leads all artists with 11 nominations this year thanks to her chart-topping, genre-spanning album Cowboy Carter, pushing her career total to a record-breaking 99 nods.
Kendrick Lamar, along with Billie Eilish, Charli XCX and Post Malone, follows with seven nods, including in the coveted Song of the Year and Record of the Year categories.
Across the four rap categories, K.Dot is competing with both himself and fellow heavyweights such as Future, Eminem, J. Cole, Kanye West and Cardi B, as well as emerging stars like GloRilla, Latto and the aforementioned Doechii. Even critically acclaimed-but-not-as-commercially-successful soul-spitters Rapsody and Common are up for silverware.
Elsewhere, Andr 3000's polarizing pivot to spiritual jazz has paid off as his debut solo album New Blue Sun is in the race for Album of the Year, marking his first nomination in the category since OutKast's historic win in 2004.
In other news, Doechii recently unleashed the full cinematic delight that is her music video for "Denial Is A River" - following a bit of a cryptic rollout that had fans wondering what it would be.

Leading up to the video's release earlier this month, the TDE rapper dropped a handful of hilarious 90s sitcom-style teaser clips from what she dubbed the Denial Is A River Show. It led to speculation she may be dropping a whole series of sorts, but it turns out they were cleverly-crafted promos filmed while making the music video for the Alligator Bites Never Heal song with a star-studded list of guest appearances that includes Zack Fox, Earl Sweatshirt, Teezo Touchdown, DJ Miss Milan, ScHoolboy Q, SiR, Baby Tate, Rickey Thompson and H Wood.
In the final product, Doechii and her guests have a chaotic house party of sorts as she raps about her rise to fame the last few years - then closes things out with a bang quite literally as the soundstage-built set explodes.
